Hi. I'm a visitor from HH, and I have a question for you guys. I'm coming down to SD in May for the series between the Angels and the Padres. I've never been to Petco before, so I'm asking you for advice on where the best place to sit is. Thanks much, guys.

Hey I've been rosterbating lately for my favorite team, the Seattle Mariners. If you were Josh Byrnes, would you trade Will Venable and Ernesto Frieri to the Mariners for Nick Franklin? John Sickels had this to say about Franklin in this years team prospects rankings: "Grade B: Borderline B+. Don't be discouraged by the weird numbers at High Desert. He's got unusual pop for a middle infielder, and I think he has a decent chance to stick at shortstop". If this deal wouldn't work, what counter offer would you propose back? I see Kyle Seager and Jose Campos being a fit for your team as well.
Thanks
What can we call this behemoth of the West? Savior was taken by Chase Headley so thats gone. My favorite so far is "Big Ant". Another I thought of was "Saint Anthony". Oh well, whatcha got?
Is it just me, or is there a lot less crap coming over the loudspeakers this year at the games? I kind of like it, makes the game feel much less artificial. Nice atmosphere on Monday night, we'll see how things go today - work event in section 122.
DB: They need to do something for you here [San Diego].MS: I haven't done nothin' yet.
If the local media (radio) pushes for Peavys # to be retired here, I'm pushing for 2 other former Cy Young award winners (Perry and Davis) #'s to be retired as well. No to Peavys # ever being retired here.
Q: Some catchers are verbal with hitters, what's your style?A: "I'm cordial. I'll say, 'Hi' the first time a hitter comes to the plate. After that, it's pretty much business."
NL West: PadresRecord: 6-2Lead: 1 gameWhy: San Diego got off to an almost identical start a year ago, but by mid-April had sunk below .500, never to rise above that mark the rest of the season en route to its worst record in 15 years. The real surprise has been the pitching staff, which ranks third in the majors with a 2.88 ERA and has surrendered just three home runs in eight games. The bullpen, which includes five members who joined the team after the start of spring training, has been even more impressive, posting a big-league-best 1.17 ERA. But even Padres manager Bud Black didn't see this start coming from his team, which finished 10-21 in the spring, the worst in baseball. "The last game of spring training is a different animal from the first game of the season," said Black. "We didn't know what would happen but we're happy with how it's going. We're playing the game the way we've talked about."
SN: Rotation-wise, San Diego is pretty strong at the top. What do you expect out of Jake Peavy this year?Bud Black: You look at Jake and C.Y. (Chris Young). It's imperative that Jake and C.Y. make their starts. Hopefully, they can combine for close to 70 starts. We'll feel pretty good about that if they make their turns.
What is your favorite San Diego Sports Memory? World Baseball Classic: Cuba vs Japan
Really? That's your favorite memory? It has nothing to do with San Diego teams. I was there and I wouldn't even put that in my top 100.
