with all the pitching talent coming through the system its a good idea to have a guy like Suppan in the tucson rotation. i know they have pitching coaches, but erlin, kelly, and weiland can definitely benefit from being able to pick the brain of someone who has pretty much seen it all over their mlb career.
I don’t mind the minor league deal, he was never a great pitcher. Solid major league starter, but I don’t know about the whole “mentoring” minor league pitchers. Maybe it will happen.
Anyways, I mainly just wanted to say that someone is on crack.
I guess we are done acquiring pieces for the 2012 season.

I don’t think he wants to run out of arms ever again.
Plus previous reports have indicated that he is not overly confident with the starting pitching squad for this year – a bit of further protection can’t hurt.
