Acts of Kindness at the ballpark

Even as Padres fans suffer through this Padres season, they still remain kind and generous.

At the park yesterday we witnessed an older couple who sent a vendor over to two boys and gave them ice cream.  The boys at first were confused but then very thankful to have their ice cream treats on such a hot day.  They turned around and politely thanked the older couple.  What a nice gesture that was.

Later in the game Pad Squad Andre came buy and gave us some cold waters and some t-shirts, caps and foam balls.  PSA will not be out done.

I was witness to the kind folk too at Petco...

I was at Petco Park for the August 1st game versus San Francisco sitting a few rows behind the Padres dugout and I too witnessed these amazing acts of kindness. There was an older guy who offered to buy peanuts for any little kids in our vicinity – and did so. Realize, I live in New Jersey and unfortunately see more Padres game in Philadelphia, or New York versus the the Mets, Phillies, or Yankees. I am more used to seeing people stealing from one another and pouring beers over the heads of others (many Padres hats and shirts of mine have been soaked in Coors Light in Philly). The baseball may not be top-notch right now at Petco, but the humanity is. You should hear the stories at Yankee Stadium these days regarding the subhumans there…

I went to all three games at Yankee Stadium

with Padres gear from head to toe and didn’t get one word said to me.

If only there was photographic evidence of this...
I went to game 3 and had one person say something in passing

but if anyone said anything to my face, I would have calmly said, “Do you like the Mets?”, and once they finished their expletive-laced ‘no’, I’d have said, “We swept them in four, so there’s always that.”

Yankee fans were in a decent mood then...

Remember sdsauaztec4, back when San Diego was in New York for that series with the Yankees, everything was going just fine for the Yanks. When things are going well it’s not as bad there from the home team crowd. Lately from what I hear from Yankee fan friends of mine, it’s been an angry drunken place as the Bronx Blunders continue to fall apart like their stupid stadium will be in a few months. Glad you weren’t given a hard time though when you were there… Try Philly with the Padres garb on see what happens…

I went to Philly

But they we too busy booing their team to notice me.

If I ever get to a game in Philly

I’ll wear this………

Or I may disguise myself as a local and wear this

Did PSA

offer JDub a rubdown too?
