I was looking all over Facebook and MySpace for Matt Bush's profile page. I wish the Padres would've drafted somebody else instead of Matt Bush. Not necessarily because I don't want Matt Bush on the team per se, but rather because I like guys who are easy to find on things like Facebook and MySpace.
I was reading through the comments after the UT article about the Matt Bush fight, and it seemed to be a ton of people looking to fire KT because of the Matt Bush draft. I don't get that. What does KT have to do with anything when it comes to Matt Bush getting into fights in bars? Sure, drafting Bush because we were worried about overpaying for the first pick was a lame situation, but it's not like it was all KT's fault.
When some people get drunk, they sleep with dirtbags who don't remember their names in the morning. When other people get drunk, they look at their friends really accusatory and berate them for not making a meaningful commitment with their girlfriends of 4 years.
When Matt Bush gets drunk, he tries to kick your ass.
For that, we should fire Kevin Towers? Let he who is without two embarrassing drunken episodes cast the first stone!

Can we just get rid of Bush? He's just a sad/pathetic reminder of something that didn't even have potential but the Padres got anyways.
Just take the money from the signing bonus that he hasn’t already blown and just go away. I really don’t care what happens to Towers. He just needs to stop with the chest hair showing. It really is not professional. And I woulda thought that Matt Bush was dumb enough to have a myspace or facebook with his real name. And isn’t he dumb? Wasn’t he taking an algebra test when he found out he was gonna be drafted?

I like having Matt Bush around
it keeps the front office on their toes. Whenever they start to get smug, it’s a nice little reminder for them. For the people in the front office that weren’t around when Matt Bush was drafted we can just point to this terrible season.

including one very famous one in Houston.
you have a bunch of 20 somethings who may or may not be roid raging 24/7. add any other drug cocktails these guys are constantly on (Demerol, Bennies, and whatever else they can get their hands on), and you place this in a bar, then the potential for douchebaggery goes through the roof.

Fired?
I think saying he should be fired is a little extreme. However, while not saying that KT is responsible for Bush’s actions, you would think that part of spending $$$ on a first round draft pick would be somehow getting an idea of the mental make-up of your draftee.
There are a lot of great MLB players who were drafted after a lot of career minor league padres lately.
