Matt Vasgersian is leaving for another job – the specifics of which won't be announced for another day or two – leaving Channel 4 San Diego searching for a partner to work alongside Mark Grant.
This is a bummer. I guess it's somewhat comforting that Steve Quis turned a little bit of a corner this year and started sounding more comfortable in the booth. Let's start thinking of a replacement. My vote: Joe Morgan. I heard he's gonna be looking for a job soon and the ridiculousness of him and Mudcat in the same booth is too good to pass up.

He’s definitely going national in some way. After that Olympics hoo-ha this summer I knew he was on his way out of Ch4. I hope it’s not to some right wing crapfest. Keep it clean, Matty!

But what about Josh Lewin to replace him? San Diego connection, baseball experience…he’s not nearly as fun as Matt and Mud, but it could work.

Second to losing Peavy or A-Gon, this is the worst news possible
This is terrible. Vasgersian and Mudcat, for all of the inanities and silly things and stupid things that Mudcat says every now and then, create an atmosphere surrounding the game that I just totally find comforting. Matty V is probably my current favorite sportscaster, so this is a god damned travesty.
And, before he leaves, can we all salute him for coming out and being so honest about what a disaster it’ll be when Peavy leaves this team? I give him a lot of credit for that too.

Um, I think we're all arguing the same point.
I’m dead serious; I cannot emphasize how much I endorse urinating on police.
Also, I too, was once charged by Ohio police for both possesion and paraphernalia. The posession charge was for a roach; the paraphernalia charge was for the half-inch of burnt paper encompassing it. Yep; less than a dollar’s worth of what-have-you added up to over $600. Don’t do drugs, kids.
