I was thinking at the beginning of the month, when San Francisco's Mayor accidentally put it to his aide's wife if he might step down. If he did step down, would the Bochy for Mayor campaign ramp up again? Let's hope so.

Why the endless love for Bochy?
Besides the moustache, which I am a big fan of, I really don't understand the GLB and Padres fans love of Bochy.He raised no championship flag. I think we should be reserving the special managerial love for the chief who brings the world championship trophy to San Diego.
Frick, its not like he left and went to the Devil Rays or Twins or Cubs or any other team. He went to the GIANTS! Does hated division rival mean anything to you guys?
I hope Bud Black grows a moustache.

it's the mustache.Maybe he didn't bring us a World Series Champion, but he got us to the Series, brought in a bunch of NL West flags. Most Wins of any Pads manager, that's impressive, he's got that going for him. He was the one and only manager during my formative baseball years, so you get attached to somebody like that.
He was shown the door by Pads management so it's not like he sold us out or anything. He's a loyal guy.
Also a really nice guy in person if you get a chance to meet him.
So yeah I like him, I don't think it's everybody here though, just my opinion.

got married. all those girls who swoon over him at the games must be upset. hopefully he will turn things around as a married man and have a great healthy season.i also saw bochy on espn and he is growing out the full goatee after last year being clean shaven. it was always weird to see him without the mustache last year but he looks better now with the goatee and the giants colors.
also on the padres notes on padres.com there was some weird note at the end about maddux calling khalil "kelly" and commenting on how fair skinned he is and then peavy cracking up about it. sounds like a had to be there moment to me...
